The food was delicious, although a tad overpriced -- the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. We won't be going back here. The buffet offered a variety of delicious choices and the service was excellent. I was excited for a night at a new location, but ultimately was disappointed. I had chalked it up to being outdated and gross. We got lucky with a warm 50 degrees winter day : maybe you will too? They are always very nice and helpful, just slow at times. Same with both sets of parents.
Seems they were boiled too far in advance and left in the walk in too long. The dip is so delicious and cheesy and would taste great right off the spoon. The fireplace and staircase would make for great pictures if one was having a wedding or party there. They don't even know the soup of the day. Just seeing the response from management to my updates review. They have something different for every day of the week, signs for each day are located in the foyer. She was attentive throughout the wedding and the venue looked absolutely beautiful on the day of! Don't have a 10am seating if you aren't ready.
The buffet was nothing special, most of the food looked unappealing and was overcooked by the time we got to it brunch runs until 2 - our waiter was nice, but overall, wouldn't recommend. I was so frustrated with everything that happened, I actually emailed the Buck, which is something that I have never done before. She was very attentive to dad's needs and for that we are very appreciative. We were seated quickly in a fun dining room that takes a hunting lodge aesthetic and converts it to a kitsch that would make Betsey Johnson proud. The wedding packages are at a great price especially for what is included and how beautiful the room is I love the chairs.
Multiple people asked multiple staff members to fix it and it literally took hours to get the lights on. We had a last minute change two days before the wedding and they were able to accommodate everything in no time. The food was amazing and they give a wonderfull food tasting, which i found alot of places do not do anymore! I can say for sure that I will not be returning to this place. They were more than willing to accommodate my allergy and had made the crab taco without cilantro. We were there for about 3 hours, and for the first hour and a half the staff could not get the lighting working at all. Courtney and Lauren were so awesome at helping plan our wedding. How my wife and I decided to leave an 18 percent gratuity was crazy.
It also comes equipped with a built-in screen and portable sound system. When you start looking for a wedding venue it can be quite overwhelming with all the choices but when we went to see the Buck we knew from the start that we wanted our wedding there. We were turned away from a few favorite places, but it felt like a stroke of good luck when we got to the Buck Hotel! Dessert is dessert, both were wonderful and delicious ways to end the evening. They were there for us the through the entire process from walking us through their options as we decided to book them as our venue, to answering all my questions on dietary needs and decorations, to making sure my dress was fluffed right before I walked down the aisle. They were always available to answer any questions and were able to accommodate some very last minute changes on our part and were super nice about it. Bartenders suck for food service, and this one we had that Sunday at the Buck stinks with patrons.
Great service, great food, fun atmosphere. My husband, who loves mussels, had something he believes is called the mussels and bangers, and he railroaded them. This wasn't half ass service. They are very accommodating and friendly. We'll come back again for future special events.
Completely overpriced and the service is seriously lacking. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the set-up was beautiful. Thanks to Lauren and the wonderful staff at the Buck they helped us create a fun night that we will always remember! Some of the shrimps I got were mushy and not tasting that great. Can't wait to come back. The fried Scallop and Shrimp tasted like nothing and was chewy.
Lauren was there on the day of our wedding making sure everything went perfectly. I highly recommend the Buck Hotel! We hadn't made reservations for this weekend because we forgot it was Valentine's weekend. Had to ask for drink refills, more napkins, more water, etc No clean dessert fork was offered. All our friends and family had a blast and can't stop saying what a great wedding it was and we owe a lot of that to the Buck! Very efficient,on top of everything. They were so easy to work with, professional and friendly. I had no worries the entire process. We would absolutely recommend the Buck and will utilize their services for any future needs.
All of the coordinators we worked with- Lauren, Shannon and Courtney- were always extremely responsive to all of our questions throughout planning. First, let's start off with the good. There was an apple butter type gravy sauce that was served with my lamb that complemented the meat well. You say the kids meal comes with a large portion of fries. They consistantly ask to help with things.
I hope this speaks volumes with future visitors. They changed management in the banquet department after we book and I am so glad that they did! My husband and I are so pleased and happy we chose The Buck, I highly recommend it!! If I could give more then 5 stars I would! They set up our decor exactly as we wanted, the food was delicious and Courtney our captain made sure that we ate and drank during the day. Thank you for making our wedding the best. Just the per person dinner cost, which is wayy less than the many other venues I researched. What every girl dreams of. Way too expensive for Bucks County, but they keep raising the prices because ' they can ' Once again, a big mistake leaving 18 percent gratuity, when it should have been less than 10.
